Indivisible McHenry County is a local non-partisan organization working to defend democracy by promoting social justice, freedom of speech, equality and due process for all through education, advocacy and peaceful protests.

Every month, Indivisible McHenry County organizes several ways for residents to connect with like-minded folks and activate around important issues, from protest rallies and letter writing, to guest speaker and community service events.
Almost 600 people participated in our rally to demonstrate the importance of early voting on Saturday, October 17th, two days before early voting expanded in McHenry County. A joyful, "fired up, ready to vote" crowd enjoy a beautiful, sunny day in McHenry! Plenty of great signs and early voting information were on hand. Here's a sample:
John Bartman has recently developed national notoriety for his advocacy for farmers and the environment. He is a fifth generation Illinois farmer whose family homesteaded in 1846. John farms 850 acres in McHenry and Boone Counties. He follows regenerative farming methods while growing corn, soybeans, winter wheat, cereal rye, sweetcorn, and other crops.
John grew up in the Middle of the Farm Crisis of the 1980’s and he was told early, in his life, he could not farm because the economics of farming. When John’s father suffered a major heart attack in 2012, John decided he had to take over the farm. He is a third generation Farm Bureau member and served ten years as a director of the McHenry County Farm Bureau.
